Newborn photoshoot

A documentary newborn photoshoot is about capturing the early days of your little one's arrival into this world with photographs that are true to you and your family. Those first months will go incredibly fast and it's amazing how quickly they change. We soon forget all those newborn nuances (I blame sleep deprivation!) but my photos will help you remember the early cuddles, their teeny tiny hands and feet and the many feeds and nappy changes for years to come.

Like my family photo sessions, my newborn photography sessions also have a documentary approach.  I like to capture real family life so during a newborn shoot it's all about the connection between you and your baby and your family story. I would love to come to your home and photograph those early moments with your brand new baby.

Newborn and Baby Photography | Natural, Unscripted  and Authentic

Document your baby growing up in their first months out in the world.

How does it work?

My newborn and baby photo sessions are approximately 2 to 3 hours long. We start off with a relaxed chat in your home, so I can meet the latest edition to the family. I won't be posing your baby as I want to capture real moments between you and your brand new baby! So, think feeding photos, capturing nappy changes, bath time, first cuddles - all the extraordinary "normal" baby stuff.

The photoshoot will take place at your own home and there's absolutely no need to make any special preparations. I will capture those fun, honest and real moments between you and your baby without you even realising my camera is there!

When to book your newborn photoshoot?

It's really up to you! A newborn photo session can be booked in any time from just a few days after you give birth to a few months after your baby is born. Do whatever feels right for you and your family

Babies younger than two weeks old are still very sleepy, so this age is great for those curled-up sleepy shots and photos of feeds and cuddling moments.

Babies older than two weeks tend to be more alert and they can already show so much personality by then! They won't be asleep all the time so there will be more "eyes open shots" and maybe even some first smiles. Find out more about prices here.
