Family Photographer Regent's Park
Natural family photography in one of London's most beautiful parks
Family photoshoot Regent Park, London
Regent's Park offers some of the best locations for family photography in London.
As a family photographer working across North and Central London, I regularly photograph families in Regent's Park - from Queen Mary's Rose Garden to the tree-lined Broad Walk.
Whether you're based in Camden, Primrose Hill, St John's Wood, Marylebone or further afield, Regent's Park provides beautiful, varied backdrops for natural, relaxed family portraits.
Natural Family Photography in Regent's Park
As a Regent's Park family photographer, I focus on capturing real moments rather than stiff poses.
We walk, explore, let children lead. I watch for natural interactions - hand-holding, running ahead, stopping to look at flowers.
Sessions are relaxed and child-led. No pressure to stand still or smile on command. Just your family being yourselves in beautiful surroundings.
Full Family Sessions
What's included:
90 minute session in Regent's Park (we can also start your family session off at home)
Choice of locations within the park based on season and light

Sessions work around your family's schedule. Early morning or late afternoon usually offers the best light, though Regent's Park's tree cover means good light throughout the day.

I also offer shorter 30-minute mini sessions in Regent's Park on selected dates throughout the year.
What's included:
30 minutes at your chosen Regent's Park location
10 edited images to download

Mini sessions are perfect if you want updated family photos without committing to a full session. Spring and summer dates are particularly popular when the gardens are in bloom.
Why Regent's Park Works for Family Photography
Regent's Park has everything you need for a relaxed family session:
Queen Mary's Rose Garden - Stunning formal gardens, especially beautiful in spring and summer. Perfect for families who want colour and structure.
The Avenue Gardens - Tree-lined paths, seasonal flowers, natural shade. Great for walking sessions where children can explore.
The Broad Walk - Wide, grand, lots of space for children to run. Beautiful light in the morning and late afternoon.
Primrose Hill (northern edge) - Open grassland, spectacular views, kite-flying, running space.
The variety means we can find spots that suit your family's energy - whether you have toddlers who need space to move or older children who'll happily walk through gardens.
Best Times to Visit Regent's Park
Spring (April-May): Rose Garden blooms, fresh green leaves, azaleas Summer (June-August): Full gardens, long evenings, warm light Autumn (September-October): Golden leaves, softer colours Winter (November-March): Bare trees, crisp light, fewer visitors
Each season has its own beauty. Winter sessions are shorter but can be stunning with the right light.
What to Expect
Whether we're doing a full session or a mini, the approach stays the same: natural, relaxed, focused on real connection.
We'll meet at a specific entrance (I'll give exact directions when you book). We'll walk, explore, stop when something catches your or your children's attention. I'll suggest gentle direction if needed, but mostly I follow your family's energy.
Children can run, climb, collect things, explore. Parents can walk together, carry tired little ones, just be present.
