I’m Irma, a family & newborn photographer based in Brighton & Hove, Sussex.

Originally from the Netherlands, I’ve lived and worked across the world, from Costa Rica and Argentina to Australia and Sri Lanka, before making the UK my home.

My work focuses on honest, natural family storytelling.

Capturing real emotions is my strength - creating images that stay true to who you are.

When I’m not photographing families, I’m probably off on some kind of adventure - exploring a new country, camping, city-tripping, or taking a dip in the sea (April to October only - winter swims are a bit too chilly for me!).

I’m also really good at playing Mario Kart. Seriously, challenge me any time!

I’ve always loved photography, and I feel so lucky to have turned that passion into a career.

My journey began learning to navigate my digital SLR, and soon after, my love for travel drew me into street photography, capturing people and places around the world - I still have thousands of images waiting to be printed.

But my true passion lies in portraiture. Documenting human connections, emotions, and real life is what drives me, which is why I focus on family lifestyle photography.
