So, the “Fresh 48” concept has been adopted from the United States - to capture those very first few precious days and hours after your baby is born. It’s a great alternative for those not wanting to take the full plunge of booking a birth photoshoot. A Fresh 48 will capture all those little details of the first few days of your newborn baby’s life after birth. Think the very first feeds, the umbilical cord that is still attached to your baby’s tummy and that special downy baby skin!

Those first hours and days of a new baby's life are some of the most extraordinary you can share as a family - and I can document this life changing event for you, so you won’t forget those early days that will be one big blur in your memory. Like all my family photoshoots, this photo session is also entirely done with a documentary approach and focuses on recording those early hours and days in a newborn’s life. All these photos are unposed and natural and have the reportage approach.

Can I include my older child(ren) in this photoshoot?

Absolutely! I would love to capture the moment when you introduce your older children to their new sibling.

Where will my photoshoot take place?

If you are having your baby at the hospital, this photo session will be done at the hospital as we’d like to document those very first moments after birth. If you are having a home birth then your “fresh 48” newborn session will take place at home.

What locations do you cover?

I cover homes and hospitals across East and West Sussex including all Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals and Western Sussex Hospitals.
