Dulwich Newborn Photographer

in-home Newborn Photography in East Dulwich and across South East London

Natural newborn photography in East Dulwich, photographed in the comfort of your home.

Relaxed, baby-led sessions using natural light and a documentary approach to capture the early days of family life as they unfold.

Newborn sessions in Dulwich take place at home and follow your baby's rhythm.

There is no set plan and no expectation for your baby to sleep or settle on cue. I photograph what is already happening - feeding, holding, changing, resting, and the quieter moments in between.

The approach is simple, observational, and unhurried.

In-home newborn photography in Dulwich

Photographing your family at home keeps everything familiar and easy. There is no need to pack bags or work around a studio appointment.

I use the natural light already available in your home and move between the spaces you spend time in most - often the bedroom, nursery, or living room.

These photographs are less about creating perfect images and more about documenting this brief stage of family life as it really looked.

What to expect

✔️ Relaxed & baby-led: gentle guidance with plenty of flexibility, following your newborn’s pace at home or outdoors if you’d like.

✔️ Natural moments: a focus on real interactions - feeding, cuddles, settling, and the quiet moments in between.

✔️ Calm-paced sessions: around 1.5–2 hours, with time for breaks, feeds, and changes.

✔️ Thoughtful mix: mostly candid, storytelling images with a few softly guided family portraits.

A documentary approach to newborn photography

The early weeks with a newborn can feel both slow and surprisingly fleeting.

My work is centred on observation rather than posing. I pay attention to the details that often disappear into memory: the way your baby stretches after sleeping, how they fit into your arms, the routines that are beginning to take shape, and the quiet moments in between.

The result is a set of photographs that feels calm, honest and unmistakably like your family.

Newborn photography in East Dulwich and beyond

I regularly photograph families throughout East Dulwich, Dulwich Village, Peckham, Herne Hill, Nunhead and the surrounding SE22 and SE21 postcodes.

Whether you're just home from King's College Hospital, settling into life near Lordship Lane, or spending those first weeks tucked away on one of Dulwich's quieter residential streets, I come to you.

Most sessions take place entirely at home, though if you feel up to it, we can occasionally step outside for a short walk or a few photographs nearby.

“We had a great newborn photoshoot with Irma. I was 9 days post partum and when the time came about a little daunted about doing the photoshoot.

However Irma was fantastic! She totally put us at ease and it was a really comfortable experience. The photos are also great, a fantastic reminder of this time!”
