Cannizaro Park is a hidden gem in Wimbledon Village - formal gardens, woodland paths, seasonal flowers, and a peaceful atmosphere that works beautifully for family photography.
As a family photographer working across Wimbledon and South West London, I regularly photograph families at Cannizaro Park. It's one of my favourite locations - accessible, varied, and beautiful in every season.
What Makes Cannizaro Park Different
Unlike Wimbledon Common's wild openness, Cannizaro Park is maintained, accessible, and feels like a proper garden. This works well for:

✔️ Anyone who wants seasonal flowers as a backdrop
✔️ Sessions where you want variety without lots of walking
✔️ Families who prefer a more "garden" feel than wild parkland
The park is quieter than Wimbledon Common on weekends, which means fewer other people in your shots.
Seasonal Guide to Cannizaro Park
Spring (April-May): Azaleas, rhododendrons, magnolias in bloom. The walled garden is stunning.
Summer (June-August): Full gardens, roses, long evenings. Best light early morning or late afternoon.
Autumn (September-October): Changing leaves, golden light, acorns to collect.
Winter (November-March): Bare trees, architectural structure visible, frost can be beautiful. Shorter sessions recommended.

We'll walk through different areas of the park, letting children explore, stopping for natural moments. The session is relaxed, child-led, focused on real connection.
Sessions work best early morning or late afternoon for light, though the tree cover means good light throughout the day in summer.
