Family Photographer Wimbledon
Natural family photography across Wimbledon, Southfields & Merton
Looking for a family photographer in Wimbledon who captures genuine connection rather than stiff poses? I'm Irma - a London family photographer creating relaxed, natural portraits across Wimbledon Village, Wimbledon Common, Southfields, Raynes Park and surrounding South West London.
Whether we're exploring Wimbledon Common, wandering through Cannizaro Park, or capturing everyday life at your home in Wimbledon, I focus on real moments that feel true to your family.
relaxed, natural, and authentic family portraits
I create a family photography experience that feels effortless, capturing natural connection even for those who aren't used to being in front of a camera.
Let's be honest: being photographed can feel a bit strange. But you're here because these moments matter. Your people, your memories, your everyday life - they're worth documenting.
My job is to remove the awkwardness so you can simply relax and be yourselves. When you feel comfortable, the images become natural, honest, and true to you. Exactly as they should be.

Hi, I'm Irma!
I'm a documentary photographer who fell in love with family photography after having my daughter. I create natural, storytelling images that reflect who you are as a family.

The Best Wimbledon Locations for Family Photography
Wimbledon Common
Wimbledon Common is one of my favourite locations for family photography in South West London. With over 1,100 acres, there's space to really explore.
Best spots:
The Windmill area - Open grassland, iconic landmark, beautiful for wider shots
Queensmere Pond - Water, ducks, children love feeding the birds
Woodland paths - Dappled light, natural feel, perfect for families who want something wild
What works here: Families with energetic children who need space to run. The scale of the Common means your images show real freedom. We can walk for an hour and never retrace our steps.
Cannizaro Park
Just off Wimbledon Village, Cannizaro Park offers maintained gardens, woodland paths and seasonal flowers.
Best spots:
The Walled Garden - Stunning in spring when azaleas bloom
Woodland paths - Quieter, more intimate than the open lawns
Italian Garden - Architectural interest, different levels
What works here: Families who want beauty without the full wilderness of the Common. Good for prams and younger children. Less walking required than the Common.
South Park Gardens
A smaller, local park between Wimbledon and Southfields. Often overlooked but lovely for families who want something quieter.
What works here: Local Wimbledon and Southfields families. Good for shorter sessions or families with very young children who can't walk far.
Your Wimbledon Home
Many families prefer at-home sessions, especially with newborns or if you have young children who need their familiar space.
What works here: Natural, everyday moments. Children playing in their rooms, family time in the garden, the reality of your life together. No travel stress, everything you need close by.
What to Expect from Your Session
✔️ Relaxed & natural - Gentle guidance so you can be yourselves at home or exploring Wimbledon's parks
✔️ Playful connections - Children can run, explore, and have fun while I capture laughter and real bonds
✔️ Laid-back flow - 1.5-2 hours gives time for breaks, play, and natural moments to unfold
✔️ Beautiful variety - A blend of candid storytelling and a few relaxed family portraits
Sessions work around your family's energy. If toddlers need to stop and examine every stick on Wimbledon Common, that's fine. If older children want to race ahead, we'll capture that too.
Family Photography Across Wimbledon
I regularly work with families throughout:
Wimbledon Village - At-home sessions and local parks
Wimbledon Common - The wild, open spaces
Southfields - Homes and South Park Gardens
Raynes Park - At-home and nearby green spaces
South Wimbledon - Accessible to Wimbledon Park
Merton - Local families throughout the borough
If you're based anywhere in or around Wimbledon and looking for natural, documentary-style family photography, I'd love to work with you.
Spring (March-May)
Cannizaro Park is beautiful when azaleas bloom (April-May). Wimbledon Common fresh and green. Perfect light, not too hot for children. Popular season - book early.
Summer (June-August)
Long evenings, warm light. Wimbledon Common at its greenest. Early morning or late afternoon recommended. Can be busy on sunny weekends.
Autumn (September-November)
Golden light, autumn colours on Wimbledon Common. Acorns and conkers to collect. Softer temperatures. One of the best seasons for outdoor sessions.
Winter (December-February)
Crisp, clear light. Fewer people on Wimbledon Common. Bare trees show structure. Shorter sessions recommended - wrap up warm.
