Meet Irma!

Mum of Ivy, Dutchie in the U.K., massive sea and beach lover and always thinking about the next camera... Documentary photography has been my passion for many years and, since having my daughter, photographing family life has become my biggest love.

My main goal as a family photographer is to capture real connections as they happen. I aim to create heartfelt family photos that show love, emotion, and true feelings in a natural way.

You won't need to pose during our photo sessions, making it more natural and genuine. I aim to catch those unexpected moments when your child is unaware, showing their real self. Our time together will be enjoyable and easy, with no preparation needed beforehand, creating a relaxed environment for all.

For years now, I have had the privilege to photograph hundreds of newborn babies, children and families all across London and I hope to meet you and your family very soon!

Why Work With Me

I know how fleeting family life feels — the way your toddler holds your hand, the belly laughs, the quiet cuddles. My goal is to photograph those everyday moments in a way that feels honest and meaningful.

I take a calm, observational approach. No forced poses, no awkward direction — just space for your family to be yourselves. Whether we meet outdoors or in your home, I’ll guide gently when needed but mostly follow your lead, so the photos reflect your real dynamic.

My experience working with young children (and camera-shy grown-ups) means I know how to keep things relaxed, even when things get a bit wild — as they often do!

Sessions are easygoing and child-led. I’ll gently guide moments and keep the experience fun and pressure-free. We’ll spend about 1–2 hours together, allowing time for cuddles, laughter, and real connection.

Back at The Secret Campsite near Lewes — second year in a row. There are loads of great places to camp in Sussex, but this one suits us. You park in a field, load your stuff into a wheelbarrow, and walk it along an old railway line to your pitch. No cars, no signal, no noise. Just a decent amount of space and some very enthusiastic birds. It was properly hot this weekend. We spent most of it finding shade, avoiding effort, and the kids had a water fight to stay cool. We mostly sat in the shade and did very little. Nothing fancy. Just quiet, trees, and time to switch off. We’ll be back again next year — probably with the same routine.
