Your pregnancy is a unique time in your life and, although you might not always feel your best, it's absolutely worth documenting this special moment!
I love how pregnancy shoots are filled with the excitement of what's to come. It's such a short period of your life (although those 9 months can sometimes feel like forever), and I can capture those memories for you in an authentic, relaxed and natural way.
Your maternity shoot is done in the comfort of your own home and/or at an outdoor location of your choice (Brighton beach or Hove beach is obviously perfect for this!). I will always make sure you’ll feel at ease in front of the camera first before we start shooting.

What to expect from your pregnancy photoshoot
My approach to your maternity photoshoot is to document your pregnancy exactly as it is at the time of the photo session. It will be a relaxed and fun experience and will be done in the comfort of your own home. If you would like to include an outdoor location during your photoshoot we can definitely do so! One of my favourite locations is Brighton beach or Hove beach.
As I'm a documentary family photographer I shoot the events as they come. Even with a maternity photoshoot there's very little posing involved.
When to book your maternity photoshoot?
This is totally up to you. I would say that probably any moment from 28 weeks up to 35 weeks is great, but it all depends on how you feel. The only thing that you most definitely need is a sizeable bump to photograph!
What to wear?
Whether it's a maternity photoshoot or any of my other family photo sessions, I often get asked by clients what they should wear. Again, this is up to you! I won't be telling you how to dress, the only thing I would say is that you should wear something that you feel comfortable and beautiful in.
How long does a pregnancy photo session take?
My maternity photoshoots usually take around 1 hour to capture a great variety of images of you and your beautiful bump!
Where do you work?
All over the country! I am a Sussex based maternity photographer, so most of my shoots are in or around Brighton & Hove, but I also do a lot of maternity shoots in London and in other parts of the UK.

What happens to a woman’s body during pregnancy is truly amazing. I am still so grateful that my photographer friend Jordana took some maternity portraits of me when I was 36 weeks pregnant. At the time I wasn’t sure, but I look back at these photos and still can't quite believe it was me!
How would you like to remember your pregnancy? I strongly believe in documenting real life and, when you are expecting a child, this is obviously a life event that just has to be documented. I think it is also such a lovely thing to offer to your child. I’m sure they will love to see those pregnancy photos when they are older!
