The process

Step 01: PRE-CONSULTATION

We’ll discuss your vision for your maternity photoshoot and I will tell you a bit more about how I work.

Step 02: PENCIL IN A DATE

My diary can fill up quite quickly, so together we can pencil in a date for your photo session as quickly as possible.

Step 03: the photoshoot

This is the exciting part! We move at your pace, focusing on creating relaxed, natural pregnancy portraits that beautifully capture this special chapter of your life.

Step 04: viewing your images

Around three weeks after your maternity session, you’ll receive a private online gallery showcasing a selection of carefully edited images.

Step 05: print orders

Once you’ve explored your gallery, you can choose from four thoughtfully curated collections to order digital images and/or printed products.

Faqs

The sweet spot for a maternity session is usually 30–36 weeks, your bump is visible, but you’re still comfortable moving around. But don’t worry if your timing is different!
Feeling good at 28 weeks? Just decided at 37 weeks to capture this moment? We’ll make it work.
Brighton and Hove have some of the best natural backdrops in Sussex. Hove beach at golden hour, Preston Park in blossom season, the South Downs just twenty minutes away, or your own home filled with natural light. Sessions work around the location, not the other way around.
All you need is a room with a large window that lets in plenty of natural light, usually the living room or main bedroom works best. Simply pull up any blinds to brighten the space, and make sure the room is comfortably warm if you’ll be showing your bump.

Around 90 minutes, sometimes a little more. There's no clock-watching.
Whatever you actually feel comfortable in. Something that shows the bump naturally - a wrap dress, a simple cami, a favourite top. Avoid loud patterns or text as these draw the eye away from you. A simple necklace if you want to dress it up slightly.
Yes. Kids are usually fascinated by a growing bump and those moments - the curiosity, the closeness - make for some of the most honest images of the whole session.
