Relaxed, At-Home Newborn Sessions That Focus on Real Moments
Newborn Photography in Burgess Hill — Calm, Personal, and Baby-Led
Welcoming a new baby is a beautifully ordinary kind of magic. My newborn sessions in Burgess Hill are unposed and relaxed, focusing on the quiet, everyday moments that often mean the most.
Whether you’re at home or taking a short walk through St John’s Park, I’ll gently document your family life as it naturally unfolds—no pressure, no posing, just honest, heartfelt moments captured with care.
Meet Irma!
Hello, I’m Irma — a newborn photographer based in Brighton & Hove, working with families across East and West Sussex, including Burgess Hill and the surrounding villages. My approach is calm, natural, and rooted in real connection. I’m inspired by the quiet, everyday moments of early parenthood — the emotion, the light, and the small gestures that often go unnoticed.
I don’t use props or pose babies into unnatural positions. Instead, I document things as they truly are: the way your newborn curls into your arms, the quiet glances between siblings, or that fleeting smile when no one thinks the camera is watching.
There’s nothing to prepare or stage — just a relaxed, baby-led session in the comfort of your own home. It will feel more like a slow morning together than a traditional photoshoot.
Over the years, I’ve photographed hundreds of families, babies, and children across Sussex. Whether you’re in Burgess Hill, Ditchling, Hurstpierpoint or Hassocks, I’d love to help tell your story—gently, honestly, and with warmth.

“Irma was a delight to work with. She responded quickly to our enquiry and scheduled a photoshoot that fit with our schedule. She put us at complete ease and captured treasured memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. Nothing was too much for her and we look forward to marking more milestones further down the line.” - Zaza
What to Expect from Your Newborn Session in Burgess Hill
Each newborn session takes place in the comfort of your own home—whether you're based in central Burgess Hill, Hurstpierpoint, or nearby villages like Ditchling or Hassocks. I bring everything I need, and work around your family’s rhythm.
Sessions typically last around 1.5 to 2 hours, allowing time for feeding, settling, and breaks. I don’t use props or artificial setups. Instead, I focus on the small, genuine moments that often go unnoticed: the quiet feeds, the tired smiles, the way your baby nestles in your arms.
If you're close to nature spots like Bedelands Farm Nature Reserve or have a peaceful garden space, we can also step outside for a few gentle family portraits—weather and baby permitting.
Why Choose Natural Newborn Photography?
The early days of parenthood can be overwhelming, beautiful, and everything in between. My goal is to capture that without intrusion. You won’t need to perform or pose—I’m there to quietly observe and document your life just as it is, creating timeless images that reflect your real story.
If you’re looking for a newborn photographer in Burgess Hill who values honesty over perfection, I’d love to hear from you. Get in touch to find out more or browse my portfolio to see if my style feels right for your family.
